Overview
Brown Girl Green is an environmental educator dedicated to social and climate justice. Her posts act as a call to action and provide resources for marginalized communities. They aim to raise awareness about environmental issues that affect public health and advocate for environmental justice, empowering individuals to engage in sustainable practices and address systemic inequalities.
Why design social media posts?
Our Aim
The goals is to simplify complex environmental topics, like "urban heat islands" and "tree equity," into easy-to-understand and relatable content for the audience. This approach helps make these issues more accessible and encourages meaningful conversations about environmental justice.
Our Approach
To simplify these complex environmental terms, I collaborated with environmental journalists and advocates. Together, we crafted clear definitions and used impactful imagery to guide viewers through the posts, encouraging them to scroll and learn more about each topic.
Social Media Template
How do these posts create a unified feed and remain consistent with the established branding?
Feed Layout
To ensure a cohesive look across all posts, each post followed a consistent template that incorporated the brand’s logo, bold typography, and a vibrant color palette. This approach helped maintain brand identity and visual harmony throughout the feed.
Feedback
How did the community respond?
Engagement
The social media posts garnered thousands of positive reactions and sparked widespread conversation about environmentalism, encouraging more people to engage with and share ideas on sustainability.
